ED TF2 Ladder Goes Live
November 4th 2007

The ED ladder is now live - clans are welcome to put out challanges, the rule set should be updated shortly with the correct choices, till then please do not go by the rule set that is listed on the notes. Dustbowl and Gravelpit are to be played over a timelimit of 1 hour (cap limit of 6). Well, Granary and 2fort are as default set for 30 mins (cap limit of 6) However you are allowed to also select a time extension for these maps to either 45 mins or 60 mins. The cap limit remains the same for these time periods, but this maybe reviewed at a later date.

EDAC is mandatory for all ED matches for the ladder - Linkage
Please read the rules and installation instructions for EDAC in above link. you may download EDAC from - Linkage

Whilst playing in ED - you MUST use the ED match configs, these configs can be obtained from here - Linkage

Although currently there is no way to police class limits, it is requested that sides stick to the following limits:-
Heavy x 2
Engineer x 2
Scout x 3

If a stable mod becomes available for limiting classes, then this maybe added as a requirement, however at present none of the mods are stable enough to be used.

Finally I hope you all have fun, if anybody requires any assistance we can be found in irc at #edadmins or #enemydown.tf2 or send myself or one of the TF2 admins a pm via the ED site.

SoG Promotion
Hot on the heels of SoG's stunning victory over LSUCS in the ED Entry ladder (yes, a real victory, not a default win) we are pleased to announce that everyone's favourite biscuit-themed clan have been promoted to the ED Open Ladder. Naturally, this promotion reflects SoG's increasing dominance of the Enemy Down community and is a reward for our tirless campaigning for all that is good in Counterstrike Source. It is in no way an automatic promotion on account of us having completed five official ED matches without disintegrating. Oh no.

Starting with an impressive zero points SoG will whine, whinge and worry their way up the Open Ladder destroying any clan who crosses our path with our trademark pithy wit and dashing handsomeness. SoG are taking it to the next level: fear for your self esteem because we're here, we're queer* and we're capable of shooting you slightly more than we shoot each other.

*SoG are currently not queer. Sorry boys.

SoG enter Enemy Down
Our campaign of biscuit-fueled terror rumbles on like the world's widest wagon wheel on a slope of greased-up pink wafers. Yes, SoG have been accepted into Enemy Down where we will initially be participating in the entry ladder.

All SoG members please remove yourselves from nPa.uK in ED and join SoG so that we can begin matches in the next few weeks. SoG's ED page is located here.

Soggage ahoy!

Goodbye nPa, Hello SoG
Welcome to SoG Gaming, the website of the Seriously Opinionated Gamers' clan.

In June 2007 the core match team of nPa.uK chose to refocus their efforts in order to make the clan more effective. We felt that with the creation of Faith No More and the migration of the majority of nPa's public server players the time was right for those of us who choose to be in a clan primarily for competitive gaming to also leave nPa and start afresh. SoG was born in early July 2007, a new server hosting company was chosen (after the increasingly poor service delivered by 4U during nPa's final year) and this website was created.

SoG aim to continue nPa's philosophy of playing for fun but with a smaller clan of organised players we can now field a regular match team with experience playing together. We will shortly be applying for entry into the ED CSS ladders and are accepting any PCW requests for a Sunday or a Monday night until then.

SoG are not a dust2 only clan as are too many of the low-mid skilled UK clans. We like to challenge ourselves and create variety in the game by playing competitive matches on different maps. If you wish to challenge us we have played matches on dust2, aztec, nuke, cbble, piranesi, prodigy, inferno and cpl_mill - we will accept any PCWs on these maps. We will also accept PCWs on other maps but please allow us a little longer to prepare so that we at least have a basic strategy ready.

SoG are generally active Sundays-Tuesdays and can be found on our server. During matches (Sunday & Monday 8-10pm) the server will be passworded but any other time it is open to all and we invite you to join us. We are currently in the process of selecting the custom maps which will make up our standard map rotation and if you have any recommendations we would like to hear them.

SoG would also like to take this opportunity to declare ourselves the 5-a-side champions of fy_football_2006. We will accept all challenges on this (preferably attached to a normal CSS PCW ). Do you have what it takes to beat us?

For more information on SoG please take a look at our (light-hearted) history.
